Folks

Like many MH owners we enjoy extended trips abroad in our MH. Typically between 60-70 days away at a time...maybe twice a year (three times in a good year [biggrin]). However I am struggling to find annual multi trip insurance to cover trips of this length. The only option seems to be a stand alone policy.

Could I please ask

- Do you have such a thing? i.e. Annual Multi trip with coverage over 60/70 days per trip. If so could you please let me know who with?

Alternatively what do you do? Take out a single trip policy each time perhaps?

Thanks

Graham

Is this breakdown insurance or health cover you are after?  I’d like an answer for health cover, but is anyone quoting currently with Chinaflu still going round

I was insured with insure & go last year, cost was £155 for multi trip gold 90 days per trip and with pre existing conditions, I didnt renew because of covid starting.

Recently tried a quote with saga out of curiosity as they mentioned covering covid so went for a quote, same as above, came out at £354 with £70 excess. [eek]

I havent tried Insure & go yet as unfortunately now we might not be able to travel abroad this year due to arising health issues.

The comparison sites are quoting but all Im getting are 22/30/45 days maximum trips hence my question.

I can't believe that all the folks who do extended trips don't get health insurance before going...

Good call. It looks as though they cover up to 66 days in any one trip.

They have suspended selling it until 8th July so I'll get a price off them then.

Thanks

When we used CAMC they wouldn’t cover me for the leukaemia because I was having antibody injections but they would cover anything else.

Haven't re-looked at it yet Lin tbh.

No real rush plus I've been watching cricket for the last 5 days

It's still on my things-to-do-when-it-rains-list [smile]

As it has been raining since 10 o'clock I thought I'd complete this exercise. My findings are

Insure& Go: No coronavirus cover offered

Saga: - £329  - Max 120 days per year; max 90 days per trip

C&MC:  - £317 - No medical screening so I have emailed therm to check; cover upto 66 days per trip

AnnualTravalInsurance - need to ring to get quote (strange for an on line company!!)

All Clear: 60 day max trips on an annual trip policy

Aviva: Not taking any new customers

Staysure: 50 day max length trips on an annual multi trip policy

JustTravelCover: quotes start at £522!

TravelSupermarket: Couldn't get past page 1 on their quote page!

So notwithstanding any more suggestions I think my options are:-

1) Pay £300+

2) Price up single trip policies for each trip including backpacker polices I guess

Any more suggestions folks?

Ta

Graham

I am in no rush to get it so may wait a while and keep an eye on things. Perhaps they will change their policy soon enough.
