...on a CL at Wroxham.

Weathers not too good ATM but don't care, it's nice to be out in the van again. 😁

What a lovely outlook you have just there. You could go fishing for your tea almost from your doorstep. 👍

Haven't been fishing for years Simon, but we do have our canoe with us. 🚣🚣

Sometimes it's just good to get away no matter what the weather is doing. Hopefully when we go next week it will be a bit brighter than of late but if not, well I'm sure we will find something to keep us occupied.

Nick.

I think you are right Nick. - A change of scenery is good....even if it is wet weather. We love to sit outside when possible, (at home and in the van), but if we are away and it is raining, a coffee and a piece of cake in the van makes me happy! 😁

even better, troll a line behind you as you paddle. If you catch something, you can eat it. If you catch something really big it will act as an outboard motor. Win/win situation.

Knowing my luck Simon, I would probably get the hook in the canoe and sink.

Besides, it's too blurry cold for the canoe today so 'er indoors has been participating in a bit of retail therapy in the many stores owned by Roy's of Wroxham.

It will have to be the chippy tonight for our fish which is just around the corner. 😊

Hate to upset anybody, but have had two good (separate) weeks following the River Loire. A fortnight ago, picked it up at Tours and followed it to St Nazaire, just arrived home from following it from Digoin to Tours on our way back from Macon for a couple of days. Weather very hot and clear, in the low 30's. Camp sites are quite busy in that part of France, but most people wearing masks and keeping their distance where necessary.

Hopefully the good weather will head northwards for all of you who are looking forward to UK trips.

We spent five days in the Macon area last September. There is a very helpful motorhome parts shop at Les Crays near Prisse. They sourced us a new toilet cassette. I can highly recommend them should anyone be in that area and need their service! We stopped at the aire at the vineyard in Prisse for part of our stay. 😆. We liked the area.....and will return.

Glad you had a good time Shunter50. We hope to be back in France again this September. 😁

Part 2,

Another few days away, this time on a CL at Thurne on the River Bure.

It's really bad here, even the donkeys have to wear masks. 🐴 😊

Isn’t it great right now being able to just get away! Enjoy your time and keep those pics coming.

I asked the donkey “why the headwear?” And he told me

“it’s the owners fault“

”eeyore, eeyore, eeyalways make me wear it”  My talent is unbounded, I’m wasted on here, I thank you 😂

Funnily enough I saw Derek in the bar last night and asked him "why the long face mate?"
To which he replied "well wouldn't you have one if you had to wear one of these"

🐴😫

5 pitch sites, usually on farms. The minimum they have are chemical toilet emptying and water. Often they have toilets showers and EHU too. CS for the Camping and Caravan Club and CL for the Caravan and Motorhome Club. By far the best way to stay on a site in the UK

er..thanks [smile]

I know what they are as we are members of both the C&MC and C&CC (and we have stayed on the odd one too) but it was whether that one was the specific one that Pete mentioned.

I want to tuck it away in the memory banks for possible future use.

Thanks anyway
