I fixed my remote control [biggrin]  I did what Raymond said, looked on tínternet and found instructions, took it all apart, almost gave up because it was so difficult until I found a place to make a start. gave it a wash like the video said  and the wassaname board a rub with a soft rubber as one bloke said to do, put it together again, hardest bit there was getting the little window for the light in the correct place, AND IT WORKS [thumb]

Nothing ventured nothing gained. Well done you.
We followed a YouTube video to replace the battery in an ancient Garman satnav. Useful place that Internet.

Hey, or is it hay, hark at the pot calling the kettle black [mad]

I do hope I don´t have to get into everything, yesterday was bad enough, before stripping I was digging, making a gully in the grass curb for the road water to drain into, Hans did it every year so I have to carry on the tradition.    Buddy weeds are showing front back and sides, suppose I will have to mix weed killer in the sprayer and tow that around the garden with the ride on mower.
Still, got nothing better to do I suppose, other than house clearance of stuff I don´t/won´t or can´t use.

Well i'll go to the foot of our stairs, cleaned it all up and the remote now works after a good clean up [smile]

Saved me a small fortune as you can't get parts for my old Meos TV anymore, we don't watch telly in the van that much so didn't want to fork out for a new one.

The remote I fixed was an old one as well Pete, so no replacement for that.

For those who haven´t seen I have been double clever in the past 2 days.
New Router from telecom arrived today and I have done it all by myself.
1. remove heavy dest drawers and pull desk away from wall which is very difficult for an old lady on her own, but as I´m not an old lady I did it.
[1]

I then went into the next room and pushed the router connection through the wall I am a magician.

[4]

And connected to the computer.

Now I have to go and tidy up. A womans work is never done.

Must be the day for sorting out, been in the garage most of the morning trying to make sense of what’s there. Found more pictures that will go to the Charity shop, not got enough walls to put them on. These have all been packed up when we left France. Telescope on a tripod, never been used, more caravan cables, can equip a site. Brand new unopened jigsaws and mat, crazy what I have found. Need my Son to sort all the tools etc out, no good to me.

I have told him to take everything he wants and to make me up a small tool bag with things he thinks I might need.   He found his Dad's old Lancashire Constabulary Cape whilst he was sorting out, thought we had got rid of that years ago.  Got 3 plumbers here today installing a new central heating system, bar the radiators, so its a bit noisy. Don't know how long it will take, the boiler and pipework we inherited was out of the ark, so needed doing.

Keep your chin up Jan, things can only get better, saying that I had a bad meltdown when I went to bed on Friday night which continued into Saturday, what brought it on I am not sure, but I suppose these will keep happening occasionally.

Before I went to Heike I `saved´ a bunch of screwdrivers, all different types, the most important was his red wooden handle big screwdriver,  I thought I had put everything I wanted to keep in a certain cupboard, but although there are a lot of things in there, not the screwdrivers  [confused] .

Some days I am coping very well Sylvia, but then suddenly it hits me again as it did this morning by the river which had been our river for 14 years.

If Liz goes before me, I'll not survive alone, I've done the alone thing, I wasted 12 years that way, never again.

If I can find many friends to share my time with I will be happy,  I am not a loner,  I need people. In one foul swoop my people were whipped away.

I know it will get better, no doubt about that, I don´t intend moping around and try not to now, but as Sylvia has already pointed out, it just gets you now and then, sometime it will be more then than now.

I made a quick loaf of bread today in my magimix, 1hr 10 mins from start to finished product, tastes lovely, just had a slice with peanut butter on.
