What are you looking forward to most doing

Getting away on a small quiet CL sat outside in the nice weather with a beer

A nice tour of German Stellplatze.

That's mine.

In these beautiful spring days (to tell the truth a bit chilly), stuck at home I have elaborated some hypotheses:

- Ireland (both ROI and NI, almost ready plan).
- Spain (Castilla-y-Leon and Andalusia but only small town villages, plan almost ready).
- Northern Germany (almost only Hanseatic League towns, 80% plan ready, stopovers are not a big issue).
- Bulgaria (50% plan, all stopovers still to be checked (campsites and areas).

Now the main question is: Will it be possible to go there safely (both for us and for the local population) ?

Paul your idea sounds nice.

for me, I really want to visit northern Italy.

Being realistic, I can’t see us able to travel anywhere this year.

If we do manage to get away this year I would imagine it wont be until late summer/autumn, then we will probably book a tunnel crossing and just bimble aimlessly around Northern France for a few weeks or so. Maybe the Somme again as we really enjoyed that area.

Until then, plenty of virtual trips expected with the moho on the driveway. [smile]

Sit outside the van looking at the scenery with The Sun shining and a cold glass of wine chatting to whoever is wandering past.

I just want to go away in me bruddy van after working so hard to get it done and ready for the spring. It’s total s— t sitting in it on the drive and not going anywhere. Cancelled my membership of the cmc as it renews end of April I thought what’s the point been meaning to do it for past 9 years just didn’t seem right somehow. We joined in 1997 as the wife would only stay on sites not a pikey type like me stop anywhere.

We were due to be on Eurotunnel next Wednesday, then the Bari to Patras ferry on the 15th. I would like to think we might be able to still do our trip in September, but I am not sure how realistic I am being. We had planned to visit Bavaria in September, but that isn’t going to happen now.

This weekend the weather is due to be good in the U.K. We shall wash the van, then sit outside it and have a glass of wine!

Great stuff keep em coming, I can't do likes for individual posts on my phone

I'm out working and dreaming of the future, it keeps me going through the misery I am witnessing.

We all need something to look forward to Paul. This is a great idea for a thread, as we can all share our ideas with other members.

You have all seen where I live,  what my dream would be is to have a garden full of Motorhomes with all my forum friends from all the countries Italy, Spain, France , England , Ireland, Scotland and Wales in them and we have a lovely few days eating and drinking together. and getting to know each other.
Other than that,  I can go anywhere I want, might just be down to the river,  where I can even go now should I want.

No plans, I like surprises.

I don't expect to go anywhere abroad this year so a few days away at a time here and there would be nice in the van. Also I'm gagging to get out and about on the motorbike to meet up with old mates, have a few beers and talk shite. To see my lads and their kids is a must.

Nick.

When it’s over ... we’d just like to get home and see family. Enjoy some days out and meals with them.

In my minded eye I mean it Lin, but then again I don't know where or when my whim will take me.😄 Motley doesn't care where he is as long as he is with me, at the moment he is upside down on the bed with me. No good making any rock hard plans, that's not happened for the last 42 or so years and I don't expect it will change now. If I am here and anyone is near me on their way to Poland then this is a super stopping off for a few days rest point, I can't say more than that.

I’d love to manage to get back to Portugal this year, its possible it may happen by the end of the summer as both here ( spain) and Pt are hoping for some kind of tourism season even if its very limited. If not we are hoping to be able to travel to northern spain , like the Picos etc the government are hoping we will have travel within spain at least by July/August but that will depend very much on the infection rate.
Its going down slowly, and we in our area are still in phase 0 at the moment which means more or less complete lock down, We are now allowed out for exercise twice a day which is lovely.. hoping for phase 1 here tomorrow!

Hello, no not lost, but suddenly had to work from home ( im a teacher) which with our limited internet was such a strain , worrying about reaching the data limit and not being about to work etc etc
now we have finally managed to get a broadband installed ! Hurrah
Im in Catalunya which has almost  the highest virus numbers in spain second only to Madrid.
its going down now and things are being a bit more relaxed, however with my OH being 67 and a heart complaint obviously we are staying in .
weve been reasonably happy with the way the spanish gov has handled the situation, its been very very very tightly controlled but necessary as people are idiots.
Im one of the lucky ones as so far ive kept working, we have a nice little balcony and a communal roof space where im growing a garden . We are now allowed out for exercise early morning and evening dependent on age. Things are relaxing each week but we feel we will continue to live very antisocially for a very long time.
