Caz could start a ‘Cottage Industry!’ I am sure there will be a huge demand for her goods in a couple of months! 🤣

I see you have married a much younger woman Paul. 😂

Good job you managed to get away for a few days Paul. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. We are all here for you when you feel like ‘letting off steam.’

Thank goodness for people like you and Caz....doing the demanding jobs you both do.

Thanks Lin

It is a rewarding job for sure but the paperwork, regulations and work load dictate that I want out before retirement. It takes its toll after many years, a few weeks off on 80% salary would do me just fine

Ironically I have today had a letter from the CEO saying that I am on the correct pay scale and will not be receiving an increase in 2020.

I hope he has sent himself one too.

Aren’t you able to take a personal hour and do a spot of shopping at a more reasonable time?

Can you shop on-line Paul, or evening do ’Click and Collect?’ I know lots of people like to choose their own shopping, but ....’Any port in a storm!’

It isn’t easy to get on the websites, but worth persevering if you can manage it. (Early morning is best I understand!). Almost everything we wanted turned up in our Waitrose order on Friday morning. I think Sainsbury’s are prioritising NHS and Key Worker jobs on-line, as well as in the store.

Tried a shop online last night Lin, we did the order and the earliest delivery was over 2 weeks away, ridiculous

We order weekly anyway, and always book a week in advance. OH does the booking and has now booked two weeks in advance. In two to three weeks time when this virus really gets hold, nobody is going to want to go out to shop. Get back on the computer Paul and rebook it if you can.

We haven’t ordered any more than normal this week. - No toilet rolls or tinned foods (apart from tuna) on our list. I am sure by next week things will have calmed down a bit, so our shopping will come to order anyway. It is just good to think we don’t have to go out to get it!
