Liz is off on a cruise on Friday, so I have a mountain of stuff to do in the two weeks while she is away, it needs to be done as a week after she gets back we are likely to be homeless until we complete on the new house.

So I have two new 230ah LBs to fit, a 300w inverter, two 11kg Gasit kit to fit and pipe up, and a wired reversing camera and monitor, plus find somewhere to fit some 12v & USB sockets in the Hab area, which daft as it seems may be the most difficult to achieve.

Allowing for a 9 hour day I would think that lot should take no more than 3 days maximum, plenty of time to spare.

You seem to have a lot in mind for a MH you won't keep.

Don't forget to give us plenty of details on your solar and leisure batteries.

Dusted and cleaned yesterday Simon, Taking Liz and her son to Manchester airport coach station ( Dadu vast didn't know she could have gone from Leeds [rolleyes] ) to get on a coach down to Southampton to catch her cruise boat to the Caribbean.

Then a quick nap if time, before going to the new house to meet the damp survey chap, I need to take a few measurements, and take notes of what he says, to relay to Liz via email.

We are helping friends move house next week. They are only moving within their village, and are also using removal men for the actual moving day, but as it is a ‘local’ move, and the vendors are allowing our friends to move garden stuff etc earlier in the week, I think we shall be busy for a few days!

She be gone, traffic was awful, wipers need replacing, I drove blind a lot of the way.

I would love to go to the places she's going but I fail to see the attraction of going on a cruise, being ever so nicely treated like cattle.

I worked on a cruise liner for two weeks when I was a student. (Long story). I had never been to places like Africa before, and it was an amazing experience. There were only 200 passengers on the ship, and the only “entertainment’ was lectures about the places we were going to visit, and ballroom dancing in the evenings! It was very gentrified and refined! Every passenger was treated as a ‘guest’ and made to feel special. To be honest, it was great.......but people would be bored with that these days. 😳.

Wild horses wouldn’t drag me on a cruise liner now! Thank goodness we don’t all want to do the same thing!

Dog walking time now......for Betsy and our two ‘four legged visitors’ for the day!

So long as I do them before I have to pick Liz up on the 10th, they'll do, they're not that bad but heavy spray and dark roads at 70+ are not a good mix.

Lot of oil or grease being thrown up over last couple of years , screen goes smeary, if that's a word .
Years ago a very old and experienced taxi driver told me to half a potato and scrub windscreen with it , seemed to work for a short period. I think the oily stuff gets into the minute chips which every screen gets , and is hellish to remove.
My old eyesight doesn't help I suppose.

Use your electric mop machine over it, you'll be surprised how clean it comes up.

I bought one of those window cleaner things from Lidl (Kärcher) some time back, used once, too slow.
I use one of these

Screenshot 2018-10-26 at 19.12.59.png

with vinegar, washing-up liquid and water and then a rub over with an old clean towel, I've got loads of windows Drew they always look good until it rains a few hours after.
