The water has been in the on board tank for some days now, I don't drink from there as I have said in the past, but Motleys water comes from there. Should I empty it and refill with fresh?

What does it taste like? I can’t remember the last time I emptied and refilled, I tend to keep using it until I need to refill. Seems to taste OK to me.

I always try to run the taps through every week when its not being used outside winter, seems to keep the pipes clean.

I would say if youre not using it for more than a month and haven't run the taps through then drain and refill.

Others will no doubt think differently.

If I've got a dicky tummy tomorrow its your fault Simon Burtnerd[mad].
Tastes like water, but that doesn't mean its all right for me to drink.

Everyone who drinks from the main tank says its never upset them, but do they drink it fresh or in tea and coffee after its been boiled. We had tea I made from river water in Austria
in 2001 dint do us no harm, but it was of course boiled.  I wrote a big note saying if we were dead the next day it was the river water wot done it.

Anyway getting back to my water, I emptied the 30 ltr. tank, there was about 15 ltrs left and gave it a rub round inside, always very gritty from our water, I also gave the pump a clean, very slimy  it were, just think how that pump is in your talk [shocked-eyes-smiley-emoticon].
Refilled with 20 ltrs about, that will do for me drinking and toof cleaning.

It´s only days Pete, not months, keep up at the back.

Seems to, but these little bugs are never seen.

Making tea doesn't make any difference to the water, you need to boil it for several minutes (3?) to kill the bugs.

You´ll have a van full of steam boiling water for 3 mins tugs, thats how long you let the tea stand to brew.
I´ll stick with our extra drink water tank.

My comment was referring to your remark above. I wasn't suggesting you boiled the water for 3 minutes, you silly old bat[rolleyes], just sayin' that boiling the kettle briefly for tea doesn't make unsafe water safe. You wiv me now?[forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon]
