just to keep the posts rolling

hi all

i have been working hard on the elddis that i am doing up

finally got around to cleaning the seats and carpets

i hired a rug doctor this morning and have spent the last 5 hours cleaning the above about £40 total including 1ltr bottle upholstery cleaner and hand wand that is for upolstery and stairs

they have come up so much better than i expected and am really pleased

i even did the carpets in my van that we thought were fairly clean but you would not believe how much dirt  is in the bottom of the catch tank more like a sludge

kev  it finally is looking so much better i have even put a new fiberglass rear light panel on it as the original is just plastic and had a lot of cracks and previous repairs

I hope all of your hard works pays off when you get around to disposing of it. A well cleaned MH will make prospective buyers a lot happier, especially if they can then see no noticeable problem areas.

hi simon

thanks for the encouragement

the van is a late 2011 but was owned by my elderly friends that i had to put into a care home in portugal

they had it from new but did not have the energy to keep on top of it

over the winter i had to put both of them into a care hope in portugal and they are starting to accept it now

Carpets? Ooh, ya big softie, Barry. Nothing like a bit of freezing lino underfoot to wake you up in the morning. Saves cleaning too. [biggrin]

Glad it's going so well Barry, nowt worse than a van which has been let go of, should get a better price now.

Err, what's this sugar on porridge, tastes like shoite, far better with good sprinkling of salt, brings out the flavour.

I did, Al. Now back from shops - Aldi & Asda - and back to relaying my new kitchen floor. Only about 12 square metres to go (out of 28). Oh me poor knees, despite thick gel kneepads.

Know that feeling sean, My knees are buggered from all the kneeling down
over the years. I just spent the morning washing the van, nightmare it had
a coating of fine tar over it. Must have been from them spraying our road and footpath
last month, Right job to get clean.
