Is anyone going to Truckfest Peterborough
I fought against going for many years
Husband and two boys were keen to go
I loved it it's not just trucks there are
Loads of shops displays bars fireworks
Parades etc
Fantastic choice of food outlets
Hot showers and some hook ups
It's an excellent long weekend of fun !

Looked at that one Cath.
Thought it was way over expensive for what it is compared to other similar events.
May be wrong. Let us know what you think after the event.
So decided to go North instead.

There are "thousands " of trucks there
ancient modern custom paint jobs
if you can imagine it it's there
plus hundreds of stalls selling "stuff "
loads of camping gear etc
The food outlets are excellent
The Showground has proper roads
Toilets showers everything
You can even hire electric wheelchairs
If you struggle to walk around
I'm really looking forward to going

You make it sound very tempting, Cath. Trouble is, I have already spent all my pocket money on RoverFest at the Gaydon Motor Museum I'm August. It is the 50th birthday of the Great British Rover V8! Anything and everything that's fitted with a Rover V8 will be there.
And it is only a tenner for entry to all three days!

Yes Primus it does seem expensive but those in the know turn up on Thursday and stay till Tuesday lunchtime
Sometimes on Thursday there is speedway on or similar events
Once they have your details they send you a booking form in
January which is a fair bit cheaper
There is entertainment on the Saturday night in the arena
A massive light parade of trucks and a quite
Spectacular firework show
I was very reluctant to go initially bur
Wouldn't miss it nowadays
There are many hundreds of camping units go
It's great fun and you can take your dog. !
