Anybody got any ideas for trips out in the coming months.
Sometimes we ignore the events taking place on the doorstep.
But others who don't live in your area might love to visit.
So help out with a list of events, shows, festivals, fetes, fairs etc.
Lets make a calendar for us to choose our long weekends from.
Cheers P. [comp]

You can do a lot worse than going to the Glastonbudget Music Festival at Wymeswold, near Melton Mowbray, on the May bank holiday weekend. Mainly cover bands but not all. A very friendly atmosphere and a good choice of liquid refreshment. Folk of all ages go, from 3 year olds through to 70+. Some of the acts are top notch. Highly recommended.

Nick.

Be sure to keep August 12-13th 2017 free and go to Wroxall Abbey, CV35 7ND, where you will find the largest collection of Rover V8 engined vehicles ever assembled in one place on this planet...including my motorhome.

If you cannot wait that long for a thrill and - like me  - you cannot work out how the calendar thingy works on this site, head south on any Friday night, snuggle up in your Compass  in the countryside near Epping tube station until dawn, buy a one day Travel Card at Epping tube station, shoot into London's heart on the London Underground from Epping, get out wherever you wish, have a nice early evening meal in Soho, walk ten minutes to the Comedy Store near Leicester Square on Saturday night, laugh, take the tube back to Epping when the show is finished, find your Compass, find your keys, let yourself in, etc etc...

It is a great way of charging your leisure batteries.[biggrin]
