I have provisionally okayed it with the wardens of King's Green Caravan Park in Port William, Dumfries and Galloway, for a motorhome meet between Thursday 5th June and Sunday 8th.

The website for the site is as follows:

http://www.kingsgreencaravanpark.com/

It is £15 a night, with hookup, and is a small community ran site right on the shore, on the edge of the village.

If you are interested, then just book direct with the site. As it is community ran, it is not manned all the time so if you are phoning it will be an answerphone that you get, or you can contact through the form on the contact page. If you want to know anything more, please ask and I'll do what I can. If there are enough of us we may get a small discount. If you say you are with the motorhome rally, when booking, we will get put together and will probably get one whole side of the site to ourselves.

hya Tomster - thanks for going to the trouble of setting that meet up, unfortunately we won't be able to join you as we're away til end of July but perhaps if another meet should come up that suits then we'll definitely make the effort.

cheers

Clyde

Good idea Tomster, but like Clyde we shall be away. ------- Greece....so not easy to pop back for the 'gathering'.

The campsite looks good though and you have chosen well. I hope others from Motorhomer Owners might be able to meet up with you, and that you all 'post' some photos. I'll send you some from Greece in the hope that I can encourage you all to have a 'meet' out there!

Woody.

Sods law , normally MH meets are in the South of England or somewhere else beyond economic weekend travel. This time it's only on the other side of the pond- but I have to play at two weddings ( daughter ,son & me are a  little pub band).  One day.

Just seen this.
If word got out that we were going all the way through the UK to get there, we would have to stop a million times en route and would have to set off about now :-)

We may come to the UK next year though. We shall see.

Site looks lovely.

We are hoping to be in France for a two month break , May and June

I say hoping as the consultant looked none to pleased when we said we were going for two months so needed the results of the biopsy as soon as possible

to decide if any or what treatment was necessary

At Christies they bend over backwards to ensure you can carry on with living a normal life, but not at all hospitals apparently

But if the worse comes to the worse we may well be around Scotland at that time

We both love Scotland[smile] except it always seems to rain on us

You may not be pleased to see us there Ross

As I said we always bring the rain

On a three week trip every where we arrived at said it had been glorious sunshine until that day

We never actually saw the sun

But rain or sun Scotland is beautiful especially in the spring and autumn! last spring the wild flowers were amazing

Listen up Aldra.
Ross should know better too.

You do not bring the rain to Scotland - no - it is always here!! But every so often it hides behind the big orange thingy in the sky to trick us.

Lang may your lum reek.

Change of plan for us. Sorry to inform you, we won't be able to attend at the meet in Port William.  I have to take the rain with me to England, so it will be sunshine all the time for the meet.

Never mind Tom, I'll still be your friend. Would love to come but we've got the Talbot meet at Stokesley to look after (not many coming to that neither.)
Still, you just never know, you may in fact be the first person to organize a meet where no one turns up, I think you'll get a prize for that.
However, on the plus side, it is good to see that so many folk are out and about enjoying themselves.
