I just ordered online, rarely use Aldi these days, getting too  much like Netto was, Lidl seems better.

I've carried a scanner similar to the linked one for a few years but have never needed to use it in anger (I did connect it up once just to check it works and it just said everything is ok)

But then I also carry a spare fuel filter (which did once help someone else out at an Autotrail rally) which I've never needed and since the catastrophic battery failure I've carried a mini charger starter (which I've not tried out yet as I daren't deliberately discharge the battery!)

There is a pattern here so I'm wondering if I should start carrying a can of diesel [wink]

Ernie, you don't need a flat starter battery to try it out, just take off the earth lead, make sure you have the radio code if needed, you will possibly find it won't work unless you have been keeping it topped up.
