We have  a TV program here called `The Super Doc´ we've just watched it tonight.
What a lovely chap he is, so affectionate to animals and people alike.

Tonight there was one particular patient the clinic had, a cat, they finally discovered through blood tests, this cat had somehow drunk some anti freeze and was almost finished, one of the vets came up with the anti dote, vodka, given intravenously every 4 hours and it worked.

There was a sad story tonight about a chap who's dog, a Lab cross, had bone cancer and although the effected leg was amputated and it had chemo another tumour was found. The chap who the dog belonged to was a reformed drug or alcoholic and the dog meant everything to him, the concern Noel showed him was very touching.

Thinking back to when Meggy was first ill I watched Noel very regularly, but now she’s gone I can’t bring myself to watch him.

It's called satellite 😂
It's German TV except Skynews and a couple of American ones.
We have a 1939 film on right now "Drums along the Mohawk the first colour film made it says, German translation. Marvellous considering its 80 years old.

Are you able to tune onto Astra2 and use Freesat and get English programmes?

I don't think this receiver will pick up Astra Simon, not unless you know different.
We used to get BBC world and CNN but they changed Channels so we lost them and I have no idea how to get them back.

Not knowing what receiver it is I can’t answer that , but I’d have thought a freesat type of receiver would work for you?

Last time we enquired about getting UK TV we would have needed a huge dish at the bottom of the garden, that was years ago, we have never bothered since. I must watch German TV to learn the language :-)
We do have a few good programs, at the moment there is a series running called Weissensee
about a Stasi family in DDR  times, it´s very gripping and a moving story, if it ever gets translated for UK TV its a good watch and will show you things you'd never dreamed would happen.

Oh yes, you’re much too far East for Astra, I forgot you’re up above Berlin.

Blimey, that doesn't sound like light entertainment.

I didn't say it was light now did I, anything about the Stasi is never light, but a 'want to know' when your living in the country where the used to be (and probably still are on a smaller scale)

We've been watching Noel for a long time now, Supervet is an excellent description, it can be harrowing watching these very brave animals letting him pull and tug on them to ascertain the extent of the injuries.

I would like to know how the chap is who's lab cross had bone cancer and had its leg amputated then he was told after chemo a cancer had appeared somewhere else. I think the chap had fought drink and drugs with the help of this dog. Such a terrible set back for him.

It was on our TV Sunday, not a recent episode I wouldn't think, but here is Chris and Spuds story.

http://www.thesupervet.com/spud/

What happened to poor Chris after Spud is what I would like to know.
