hi all

i am at ousteham just north of Caen

when i booked the ferry home for the 6th of June i did not think what was special about that day in 1944

well it was the day of the Normandy invasion and its the 75th anniversary

seen loads of jeeps and Harley 45s and old planes

I am sure it will be all over the news in the UK tomorrow as I believe her maj and that big yank are coming over

pity really that i booked the 8.30am sailing as we are at an aire about 200yards from the ferry

Must be an amazing atmosphere. J read that two 90 year olds will be parachuting in. You are definitely coming home several days to early.
