They have been on charge for 2 weeks.
switched off the charge yesterday and this morning the V is 12.5v L 12.7v  AH reading 82% but Sargent have told me before not to take too much notice of that reading.

So are the batteries are OK?

Should I keep the charger on continually as apparently the Sargent automatically knows when to switch off, should I trust it?

Hmm, seems like you may have got away with it Jan, leave them off for a week and check again, but under normal circumstances, I'd leave it connected.

Remind me in a week [biggrin].

No sun to keep it topped up so I will check it each day to see if its OK, don´t want it to go right down again do I.

It doesn't make any difference Jan, if they go down a little each day it means they are stuffed, but every time you check them it uses a little current, best to leave them alone and there it's a more accurate check at the end of a week, there is a more accurate check involving putting a known load on for 24hours, it's n facts somewhere.
