Enquired about a van they had last night, a Wildax Europa, anyway received an email today from Marquis Durham saying that van was in their Devon branch but they had just had a Wildax Europa come in to their Durham branch 2 days ago. They sent me the details, 11000 miles, manual, I managed to wangle a couple of hours off work after speaking to the boss, rushed over and guess what.

Its a bleeding quickshift automatic.

They can't even get the gears right, what a set of jokers.

They apologised and said the advert would be changed, it was head office fault and not theirs[rolleyes]

Paul.

Makes you wonder how they actually run their business.

Shame about Marquis Paul, a bit like Brownhills, sometimes they just get too big.

From what I've read, Wildax seem to have a pretty good reputation, I like the rear lounge in the Europa. 6.2mtr is a strange length though.

Be patient, the right one will come eventually.

Pete

Have you thought about getting the 'Devon Crew' on here to look at the van down south Paul? If you think it is worth viewing they might be able to help you out. I am sure Tugboat and BurtSner will oblige if they can.

Yes but its over year older than the one in Durham Sandra and its got 35000 miles on it, the Durham one is 11000, why wasn't it the other way round. Both same price too??

Wildax have some good features, the shower tray looks quality, rock solid GRP, like it, rear sofas could do with being a couple inch wider though, water tanks underslung both look a little low to the ground, the tank wraps around both fresh and waste is just taped on with duck tape, doesn't look very professional, all the duck tape was coming off when I looked underneath, not a bad effort from Wildax though.

Not sure about the tip up sink either in the bathroom.

I can recommend Wildax motorcaravans. I had an Aurora Leisure 2007 until 2013, well built, and I found their boss to be a very approachable and helpful person.

No, I am after a manual Kev as you know. I did look on the Renault forum mind for opinions on the quick shift. I only read 2 threads, enough to put anyone off, good lord.

Maybe it's just me then Paul, but I'd have taken the oportunity to give it a try, life is made up of experiences, stacked on top of eachother, plus I'm a curious old bear 😈😈
