There is nothing I can find on youtube to help

On our Sony EReaders we just connect to laptop/PC and it shows the reader as another drive so we just highlight the book or books and drag them onto that drive. I am sure you don’t have to anything difficult to get them on your Kindle. My Friend has one so I will ask him.

Hello Silvia, all the books are showing on my kindle account on Amazon so they must be there somewhere.
Tomorrow I will ring kindle, just haven't had time today after messing about for what seemed hours.
Trouble is I don't fully understand the kindle fire 🔥, Hans found a Navi on there Yesterday, beggared if I can find it again and he has no idea where it came from 😕.
Anyway I have started the Camel club which you or Kelpie or someone is reading so we can compare notes when we've finished. I'm not a fast reader, read every word I do, so it will be a few days and with the other 19 you have sent they should keep me occupied for a while.
Don't have any American Indian history books by any chance do you?

Aged Ps staying at the moment Mum and Dad both use their Kindles a lot. Dad borrows mums Fire to read the news and read her books, but apparently he reads too slowly! I looked it up and you can share books for 14 days, but that no good for father. A solution is the get a new tablet for mum, she’s the techie one, and give dad her current Fire, keeping her account (and books) on it. I was thinking a Samsung, but asked a techie friend ... he said the kindle Fire 10 is the best value for money tablet on the market.

We have an Alexa Echo ... Mum likes it ... so that’s her birthday in March sorted.

I don't know what number fire I have, but it´s like a little computer.
Hans has my old kindle and they are coupled, so every book I have is also on his.

The fire has the advantage of an SD slot for mega storage for photos videos etc. also has a camera.

All devices have a "about" information button, might be under settings.

My wife read about 4 books in 50 years. But suddenly the last six months she has 'devoured' about 12 books about war and SOE.
I have suggested several times she might need a reader or Kindle thingy. But she has always resisted saying she only reads when we are in Portugal and away from the garden. She also says the fun she has trawling around at boot sales picking up the odd book for 50 cents.
I can't argue with this and know damn well if I didn't recharge reader and download books it would be confined to that drawer.!!!

I agree with Pru Ray.
I brought no end of books with me from charity shops, but they came to an end I either read them or didn't like them. If we hadn't have moved here where of course books in English are not terribly popular 😊 I probably still wouldn't have a computer or kindle.
Hans would still rather have a book in his hands, easier to turn back the pages for referal than a kindle.

Gerty, just had word from our Friend, save the books to your computer under a folder called books and if you have the Kindle attached to your computer you should just be able to ‘drag and drop’ from books to your Kindle in one swoop. By the way that’s what we do easy peasy, you shouldn’t need to put them in your Kindle email address.

That reminds me, my sister found an unused Kindle in some of dads stuff the other day. What’s it worth I wonder?

Depends on which one it is Si, Paperwite are a good sell, but handy in the Moho if you like a good read, battery life is impressive, weeks not hours

I’ll enquire when I see sis on Wednesday. But I really love to go for a looksie in the local charity shops and pick up handful for a quid. It’s time I got a nice sized box and took them in a load.

I have plugged it in, but there is no connection.

10 minutes later.
I had a brainwave [idea] My Panasonic video camera isn't supported on Apple, I have to remove the SD card to take the videos off so perhaps I have to use the SD card only which I have done and dragged and dropped into the book section on the card, but I now see 9 not 20

We have about 6000 ebooks on our laptop, one set are by an author called Quintin Jardine, a Scottish Detective, I convert all our books with Calibre which is a free download.   Lost your email address (don't know why it didn't save it) but I can send you the first one in the series to see if you like them.   We have all James Pattersons and Lee Childs.

I have a lot of Lee Childs on my desk top, I can no longer open them since I moved them from another computer.

I just tried them on the other computer that Hans is on, (watching a Viking sword being made)
I read one of those sometime back and enjoyed it even though it's not my usual read.

There are so many authors on Silvia list I think I might still be checking them at Christmas. Haven't discovered a subject I fancy get Silvia.😕
