I've just delivered the motorhome to my eldest sons house so he and his family can spend 4-5 days in Hunstanton this bank holiday. I gave him and his wife the run down on everything and she diligently took notes. Is it worth running a book on how long from when they start off tomorrow before I get a phone call? Lol.
Actually they both are fairly sensible so I don't have any worry, honest.

Nick.

You're a very brave man, no way I would lend a van to anyone, the implications of something going wrong or worse, could have catastrophic effects on the relationship.

You just lost your money Simon. We drove down to the local Sainsbury's this afternoon where my lad filled her up. 85 quids worth.

Nick.

Well they lasted about 36 hours before making an urgent phone call :-) "Dad, we have filled up with water twice but it keeps pouring out of the back of the van". "Ah" says I. "Look under the back seat and you will see a small plastic switch that is sticking up, just push it down". Sorted. My fault I suppose, I had drained off the system for winter and left the stop cock open.

That happened to us, well Hans, after the first winter of owning our van, `why doesn't it get past the yellow marker´.  It wasn't the yellow switch, he´d done that, but forgot to switch off the full tank drainer tap.
Tell him to make absolutely sure he puts diesel in the tank and not grab the petrol instead as Hans did on one occasion. [shocked-eyes-smiley-emoticon]
