I fancy a little jaunt down to Italy early next year. Been before, we stayed at a campsite outside Rome, went in on the train, then had a swim in the nearby sea before supper every night. The sites of Rome, Ostia Attica,.....luvverly............I,ll stick a date up when we decide to go,  and if anyone elses is out that way,  on the way, or tags along,...I,m sure we could share a glass of wine.[crazy][crazy]

Sounds good John, we love Italy, though not unduly impressed by Rome, a bit noisy and traffic laden for us.  But the wine sounds good!

Another 'vote' for a glass of wine in Italy.

John, there is a suggestion 'in the pipeline' re members being able to 'post' information of their whereabouts, without it all being too revealing. It is on the 'site ideas' forum I think. Your thoughts of meeting up with other members for a 'glass or two' is really what it is about. It would also be useful if someone needed help for any reason and knew that there was another member in the area. If you have any suggestions as to how we could implement a diary/notice board to help us all keep up to date with everyone's travels, please 'post' them.

Woody.

Sounds like a good idea, also love Italy, Tuscany and the smaller lakes are favourites, but then i like drinking my Amerone in the country of origin.

We are planning, i use the term loosely, to visit northern Italy later on on the year.

When we were on our cruise last year we stopped off at a few places in Italy. Loved them all especially Napoli.

Spent 8 weeks there on our last trip

Went as far as Rome

We loved Rome, Venice and Assisi

And just wandering around

Next time we will look at the Italian lakes
