We watch a lot of "Talking Pictures", they are old black and white movies generally, it might sound naff compared to the digital fire and brimstone of now, but a rocket shooting off where you can see the string makes for some entertaining watching,. There are a lot of 30's , 40's and 50's that are very good second time around.

Give it a try you might like.

ISTR wearing a neckerchief back in the 70s (hangs head in shame). Used to wear flares, too, but never the huge ones (apart from bellbottoms in the Sea Cadets)

I had NowTV on a stick years ago before we got a smart tv, cancelled it after the free monthly offer.

Got an email from them the other day offering 2 months Sky Movies and Entertainment for £2, it would be rude not to take it, just got to remember to cancel it when the offer expires.

Watched 3 Billboards outside Ebbing last night, that was quite good, I like Frances McDormand, she was good in Fargo as well.

Am I the only one who has BBC, ITV Channel 4 etc? (Terrestrial tv through Free Sat). Everyone seems to have Sky etc these days. We would never watch it enough to make it worth while.

We have only watched our tv once in the van....for a couple of hours one evening whilst in Scotland. (The van came with a tv). We won’t miss it at all whilst touring Europe later this month. I shall record anything worth watching, or watch it on Catch Up when we get home.

We do tend to watch a lot of the Continental series on More 4 and on BBC 4. (Mainly detective stuff). I know lots of people don’t like them as it is all subtitles. - Not easy to watch whilst eating your supper on a tray in front of the tv! 🤣

No Sat for me. Bog standard Freeview has more than enough to cater for my infrequent viewing.

Summits gone a bit wonky on the forum, took ages for it to open and then ages to open the thread then ages to get here. Not just on Safari, but Google Chrome as well.

Anyway, this is what I have watched tonight, Part 1 & 2
