I'm thinking of putting one of these in.

So far all I've located is this one despite quite a bit of searching on T'internet.

https://www.vyair.com/12mm-push-fit-shut-valve-connection.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAwZTuBRAYEiwAcr67OXAQa8LtweyzLABB_dzDFdUyFqKAgtgbknWt49uDPGePAqJcS3zKKRoClAQQAvD_BwE

Just wondered if anyone (maybe the self builders?) had other sources for these - to give me a few more options?

Thanks

To stop full system including tank draining when the boiler dump valve triggers in cold weather. The system siphons entire contents of the fresh water tank through the dump valve.

I'll normally keep water in boiler heated and likely heating on when van in use so not normally a problem . Its just on occasions it has dumped everything which can be a tad annoying.

So I figured fitting an (easy to access) in line tap at exit from water tank would be another option.

I see, I'm not sure I'd do that unless you have heating going all the time in cold weather, or you are sure you wouldn't forget it.

I’ve had my water dump itself a couple of times when the temperature wasn’t even close to freezing. I have simply jammed a piece of wood to disable the over sensitive device. If it ever looks like getting to be a stupidly low temperature I always have an oil filled radiator keeping the chill off. I’ve got an inboard fresh water tank so that should also lessen the worry. 🙏

That’s why I want the inboard tank and pump also all my pipework is inside so insulation is between outside of van and pipework. If temperature dropped to much I will just light a second candle 🕯.

Now you’re showing off, where did you manage to get a second candle? Was it inside the caravans guts?
