Stupid taxi driver wouldn't take notice of him and drove through Berlin not on the motorway so took over two and a half hours instead of two.

He looks tired and pale, but I am sure tomorrow he will look a lot different.
About 4 1/2 hour without a pee [biggrin] bet you canner do that Kev.

No more antibiotics thank goodness and I hope he won't need them anymore for wee infections.

He has to walk a bit, not sit for too long and drink 2 ltrs of liquid a day so he's getting on with his usual beer.

Good news Gerty, walkies means more outings for Motley - they both win 👍

He has to build his strength up again.
We just had a little walk up the road and Itsme the cat came running to see him.
By the way, Itsme is having kittens, poor little thing will probably go through that for the rest of her productive life.
Not from today, just in case you forgot who Itsme is.

Probably what we call here a driver of a taxi , not a taxi driver[strong-no-smiley-emoticon].
The important thing is you've got your beloved home.
Think Women's Day is Europe wide , wonder if we'll get a Men's Day. According to Isabel , my good lady , I've got a Men's Day every day of the year. Don't tell her but she's been a great find[ear-to-ear-smiling-smiley-emoticon].
Keep safe .

1st May is mens day here, you only get a Fathers day, not really fair seens as your not all Fathers.

I promise not to tell her.[whistling-smiley-emoticon]

First night at home, not bad at all. He looks a lot better today, whistling till it gets on my nerves, but I will keep quiet, he's happy.

3 trips to the loo for both of us 1.30am-3am-6am or there abouts. still rather red, but that is to be expected for a while he was told.

He can´t get over the stupid taxi driver not taking notice of him.

Nice restful day today I hope.

Funny you should ask that Paul 😃 Decided this morning
we will go to see our friends in Katzenelnbogan in Rheinland Pfalz perhaps stopping off in Hessen where Motley came from and maybe visit his previous owner if I can find their email & address.
I do hope he continues to improve as well as he is already, other than being tired, which we both are, the toilet business is going very well, however they did tell him, and the info says, it will take 6 weeks or more before the inside is healed.
No car journeys until necessary because the jogging about isn't good 😧

Sounds crazy, told no car journeys, yet hospital put him in a taxi with a driver who doesn't listen[strong-no-smiley-emoticon].
A case of don't do as I do , do as I say.

No John it's his nurse maid (me) who said about the car journeys, although they do say not a lot of sitting on hard surfaces, walking, but not marathons, is also good, but the weather isn't.😡

Answering you on the proper fread Kev, coz otherwise the old folk get confoozed [confused-smiley-emoticon-1]

He is doing very well so far because I have been able to keep him out of the workshop [thumb] and thats a battle in itself.
He was told things would take time to heal and to expect the red pee for some time, but it´s only  for the first bit now, after that it´s reasonable clear he says. Only telling you this so anyone else that is going to have similar done is forwarded.
It still burns a little bit sometimes. He is not incontinent [biggrin] although they gave him the things just in case, so far nothing bad has happened.
Tiredness is his biggest problem, but it´s probably the anaesthetic still in his system, I reckon it take at least 2 weeks for that to clear although of course boredom also make you tired.
Nights he is up 3-4 times still, but only because he is awake, if he could sleep through I think he would be OK until the morning.
He was told at the hospital he should drink 2 ltrs of liquid a day, (doesn´t matter what) not the 3 ltrs some recommend, because of his heart.
You may read this twice Kev, coz I´ll be doing copy and paste.

Thanks Jan, I hope it all settles down for him soon, it's no fun when it burns, my drugs are working again so it's just the frequency I have to deal with.

So pleased Hans is doing well, as far as the tireness goes, when you have been in hospital, even for a short while, it does take it out of you.
Last year I was in for 3 weeks in isolation and when I came out I expected to be back to normal after feeling great when leaving the hospital
but it took about 3 weeks before I could get back to feeling more normal, you just have to take your time and be patient, Martin is the same
he thinks he should be ok straight away then finds he is not.
