Clever idea. But I could see any weight of bouncing pulling the brackets out of the wall.

Hi guys,

Yep, it's a really handy extra child's bed. I should probably have mentioned it sort of works like a hammock when the child is in the bed. The child sinks down in it so there's no chance they can fall out.

And you're absolutely right clunegapyears, it's not meant for teenagers or adults and it's not a bouncy castle so when we put the girls to bed they know it's for sleeping, not playing. Although it is very robust.

Dave.

And in a van, you’d sure know if your daughter started bouncing. Some friends hung a hammock from the handles above each front door for one of their daughters, which worked for a while. Problem is the kids grow!

We've got a few years yet, she's only 8.
Hopefully they'll still want to come away with us when they're older, by which time we'll be looking for a new van or possibly a caravan. I do think it's a very cheap way to make the van work better for kids.

I'm not paid to review or advertise any products and wouldn't say good things about a product unless I'd bought it myself and actually used it 'in battle' so to speak.

My daughter grew up under canvas for most holidays, but always maintained she hated it ... despite reminding me of all the funny / fun things we did. She flies over regularly to see us ... always moans about being in such as small space with two other adults and two dogs. This last trip to Sardinia, she was so hot, and sued this as her rationale ... she booked herself into a hotel with air con for the last 2 nights! Despite my best efforts, I don’t think I’ve made a Camper out of her!

Have you come across travelling around the U.K. on a tenner a day? A family of five in a converted Morris Minor. They are YouTubing their journey.

Hmm, that'll be an interesting trip, good that the kid was involved with the build.

Great if you like mackerel, and can bear to kill your own. But last time I had my feathers out, I waited all day for a lamb tikka vindaloo, and went home hungry. Still not worked out why!
