I have received a recall notice for my 2017 Ducato for inspection of "the brake line retaining clip may not be fixed correctly to the tucker on the dashboard wall due to a production non-conformity".

Has any one any details as no local Fiat Professional Retailer on the list supplied with the recall can undertake the 0.5H inspection for some period of time and I wish to satisfy myself that there is no risk in the interim.

You can check if your Fiat based motorhome has any recalls due by putting your chassis number into the Fiat Camper website at https://www.fiatcamper.com/en/home

My 2017 Fiat based MH is not subject to this recall but others older and newer are.

I think I’d rather ring a dealer to enquire if it is “urgent“ or simply being “cautious”. I’m sure that if it was the former then there will have been more of a commotion on the other forums already.

They’re bound to be as they’re all produced on the same base vehicle, with just badge engineering to distinguish between them really.

Mine isn't in the time period, here is the list of all Citroen Relay (and others) recalls.

Our Rapido (Fiat based- registered in Dec 2019) was checked a week or so back- no remedial work required.  The dealer mentioned they'd checked a steady stream of vehicles since 'the summer' and none had required remedial work.  I also used them for a previous recall- they aren't the closest but they are very efficient etc. and worth the drive to Canterbury.

Someone posted a photo which which was supposedly of the offending clip on one of the Facebook groups - it is just to the the right of the brake servo as you look at it. Ours seemed OK when I checked it but I still took it in, just in case.

The actual check by the dealer was very quick- 15 to 30 mins at most. If remedial work is required, then a return visit is required for around 2.5 hours.

Thanks for the feedback Brian, it’s always useful to know when you manage to get a niggle sorted out.  Fortunately for you no work was required.
