Can you relate to some of these annoyances?......
https://campervancastaways.com/2019/09/10/when-vanlife-drives-you-mad/ I just found this website this morning, looks like loads of interesting stuff on there as well as the above which made me chuckle. https://campervancastaways.com/ Pete __________________

Very funny Pete. - I know that you, like us, have visited the Rheims aire!
I must admit that we are inclined to be anti social whilst away. I remember on one occasion being parked up in France and on a remote aire with only two other vans, one being another UK one. We hadn’t seen a UK van for a couple of weeks, but even so, we didn’t make any attempt to speak to the other people, and neither did they make eye contact with us whilst loading up their bikes! (They were clearly of the same ‘disposition’ as us!). We are happy to speak if others want to, but take our cue from them. If they smile and speak we do. If not...... Sometimes it is good to chat to other people, as it is a great way to exchange information. We have a lovely Dutch couple we keep in touch with, plus an Austrian couple and a German couple. There are some very nice Motorhomers out there. As for the parking close together.....the French and Italians are the worst! We on the other hand avoid all busy aires, and if forced to use one, we park as far away from everyone else as possible! In fairness, many people like the security of a close neighbour, which is understandable. - We are just anti social! __________________ Auto Trail Frontier - Mohawk. Exmoor.
