Where did those days go?

They always had the Wall of Death, a couple of bikers out front with bikes in rollers.
The bikes where always old pluggers. mostly singles, the odd twin, once an old Indian.
The thing was, even at a young age they did not seem to go very fast to me.
A quick burst of power to get up onto the wall then drop back to the throttle stop and let centrifugal force take over.
Still loved the way the whole wall used to sway out as the bike went passed when you were stood at the top. (Ahh happy days.)
Always thought I could do that. But was content at that time just to ride my Tiger Cub T20 like a deranged maniac.

Oops got to stop this its a Motorhome forum after all. Sorry Ross.
As Kev would probably say. "Old Farts got carried away"

Just love the banter on here. Primus. [smile]

I wonder if a Moho, is where old bikers go to retire...

I always liked the sports cub and the trials cub, prices are nuts though.

That looks like a June tour around Norfolk/Suffolk for me this year.
11th June start at the Steam day. End on 24th June at Jazz and Beer evening.
Filling in with a trips to the Woodfords Brewery then the Aviation Museum at Flixton and the car boot at Africa Alive in Suffolk inbetween.
A good area to tour with loads of CLs to choose from. [smile]

Unfortunately my favorite closed last year Playters Farm near Beccles.
The owner John Hayward is a perfect gentleman who closed down due to ill health. [frown]
Hope you are recovering John.

That's a fortnight that might turn into 5 to 6 weeks then. [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]

Cheers Primus.

Sounds good. May see you at the Jazz and Beer evening (am away for SteamDay).

If you have been affected by anything you have seen on this thread or wish to speak with a medical professional, please sign up and introduce yourself. This site does not condone the use of motorcycles as a means of self-medication but quite frankly, that war seems to have been lost months ago. If your motorhome is leaking, or you need help getting out of a traction engine rally because you were asked to park in the river, we are always here to listen.

We have a fairly full year as far as exhibiting goes, plus we are getting the second trailer built so we can take our other Ruston Hornsby engine to the shows, or some other engine, we have a few.

Nuenen (Holland)
Beaulieu (Hampshire)
Kingsfold (Horsham)
Lincoln
Rushden Cavalcade (maybe, haven't had the paperwork yet)

Hoping to get more time on the Mercedes as well, and I finish the Herceptin injections in July which will improve my well-being!

Peter

We might go to Lincoln again, depends on my back pain, if it hadn't been for the scooter I'd not have seen as much.

Both engines accepted for Rushden, and had the forms in for Lincoln.
