Gave Motley a super groom today after a few days of a brush over. Found this sore on his testis sack.  I don´t think it has anything to do with a tick.  And of course its weekend, no vets.

Looks like a small ulcer but could be a insect bite of some description. Has he been scratching it?

No Sylvia, if he had I would have checked not licking or biting either.

Had a look online and the nearest I can find is Scrotal Dermatitis. Everything else seems to be about lumps and things.

Perhaps he simply grazed it when out inspecting his home territory.

24hrs later and my worry is over, I took the scab off this morning very easily, smooth pink skin underneath.

Thanks for the suggestions, I knew what it wasn't just didn't know what it was and will probable never know, I´m just relieved it wasn't anything much.

Sorry Jan, have only just found your post. The last photo looks as if everything is ‘healthy’, so I assume it was just a graze.....as suggested by Simon.

Thank goodness for that. You don’t need any more problems for a while!

I can´t imagine where he could have got a graze from though, he is on grass outside and he hasn´t slid on the ground or climb over rocks. Never mind it will stay a mystery.
