My first Japanese bike was the model before that. After owning British bikes up until I was 21 it made me realize how much better the Japs built motorbikes. It wasn't exceptionaly fast but so reliable and of course no oil all over the place.

I’ve been making progress, today was hellish. It was very sunny and hot and sweltering inside the garage doing some reassembling. I will sleep well tonight. 54C98733-BF3D-4642-A447-41616C193A67.jpeg  9BC0FD07-0125-40CC-9EFD-F8F6DFE859EE.jpeg  11177718-D87A-4D51-8322-7AAB914F8764.jpeg  77C0FAD4-CBB2-489B-99F8-08D87D649DB8.jpeg  A3A450D1-68C3-40F3-B6E6-45D3D3412834.jpeg  7978AF92-E33C-4D5E-8F67-5B15751B5369.jpeg  E1382E0E-4698-4E83-B01C-A6565DEF9247.jpeg  84C18A58-EB84-4695-BBBA-0F6A1F17654E.jpeg  117344C4-B672-4D75-8E0B-BCFB3E249183.jpeg  EC0FD9DF-9404-473F-AC13-ADEE312EB34B.jpeg  3DBED539-B635-42BE-A965-D1EFF0F0DBF9.jpeg  FE8D4C91-5144-4816-B946-B1F1E7AF4015.jpeg

I'm assuming you had help to get the engine into the frame. Always a fraught operation trying to avoid paint damage.

nope, none at all. IT - WAS - VERY - DIFFICULT !

then, reading the manual, it states it needs 3 people to do it in the absence of specialist lifting equipment. And no, I didn’t manage to avoid damage to the paint.

When all else fails, RTFM!!

It's part of the male psyche to not read the instructions soon enough.
