Thanks Gary, just one point, it's best to connect to the van first then take the cable to the power point, especially in wet weather.

Absolutely correct. It's something I automatically do without giving it any thought which is why I missed it off lol.

Gary says "What I tend to do is connect up my electric cable and then the end I am going to plug into my van I plug this in and then I plug that in ####### plug it into your van, or there will be when you plug it in blah blah blah.

Now unless you are a complete doughnut you will know you have to plug it into your van.

Don't argue with me or I´ll take your honey away. [little-bear-nodding-yes-smiley-emoticon]

Ah yes the polarity tester. I always check the polarity before I connect it to the van itself, also shows if there is power, saves loads of "Why won't the kettle work" conundrums.

Thank you.
Our last van had a light indicator for reverse polarity; we just had to flip a switch. Very easy. A timely reminder that we should check, especially as we are on EHU more than usual at the moment.

I forget, our Navajo has a light to tell you, but you have to change the plug round manually, no switch to do it automatically.
