I'm wiring in my reversing camera monitor tomorrow, can anyone tell me where I'll find an easily accessible ign live? on the right hand side of the dash if possible.

Multi meter or a good test lamp called for. I much prefer a good test lamp for fault finding and testing for voltage.

There will be a live input on ign switch with keys out ,use this but fuse it,dont wire cam through revers switch because you can turn  cam on at any time using a switch to see whos sniping around at night or the tail gater when driving.[big-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon]

The injectors have been done Paul before we got it. one morning it didn't want to start, but it's not been too bad since.

The ciggy lighter is a permanent live, I'll be having a look once the streets are aired, I was hoping someone had been there before me, so I don't have to crawl about under the dash.

Have you had it out for a good, long run then? How does it go? plenty of power?

Comparison to your usual Fiat 2.8jtd? Better or worse?

It goes like stink Paul, much more grunt than a 2.8jtd, but I think I prefer the Fiat.

Chains can snap too Paul, and they can have other problems, but the cost of replacing a belt doesn't put me off, and every van I've bought bar one has had it done with invoices to prove within the last couple of years. I think the cabs even the old 2000 model are better than the merc, front wheel drive gives a lower floor, so less side wind problems, cab is just better overall.

Rear wheel drive much better traction though, I do like the 2.8 fiat, think I am undecided, slightly favour the merc, level of engineering seems a cut above.

Cab is a bit of a rust bucket though, I need to address that at some point, just little bits as they are no galvanised like Fiats.

A lot of the race guys have the merc sprinter as there tow
vehicle and workshop, Rust seems to be the only problem
engine wise some of them have 200.thousand on the clock
so they are reliable.
